Ah. It has been a while, hasn’t it? What with my new-ish job as a Customer Service Representative for Canadian Blood Services, my life has become incredibly busy. So busy, in fact, that I have scarcely had the time to knit, let alone blog about it. Oy!

So now, let me expound on my latest fiber-related adventures…

I mentioned in my last post that I learned how to spin. Now I’m amassing vast quantities of fluff to turn into string. Right now I’m spinning up some lovely LL combed fibre in “Purple Iris” and it’s gorgeous. On the way are some Dyeing Arts superwash merino, and also some Tempted 50/50 merino/silk. Can’t wait…

The “Drums of Autumn” swap is coming to a close. I sent off my partner’s sporran last week, and hopefully she receives it soon. It’s been hard to participate in the Highland Games this time, what with a few medical and personal issues.

On my needles – moose-like Selbuvotters, a One-Row Handspun Scarf in Malabrigo Worsted (Deja Vu), and a pair of yellow socks that are so ugly I want to expose them on a mountainside.
